Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a comedian from Canada as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara is the recipient of several prizes that include the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara first became known as an actress when she was part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. She was part of the main cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic acting and writing skills and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was a member of the newly formed Second City artistic Advisory Board, which was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
