Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most prominent part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the series was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
